9 years ago today, Rusty asked me to marry him.
His proposal set the stage for our marriage.
He washed my feet after reading Ephesians 5 to me.

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by God's word."
Ephesians 5:25-26

Rusty has done this. How appropriate that he washed my feet at the beginning of our marriage journey, because he has been a servant leader to the core! He has washed me clean with God's word by encouraging me in my walk with the Lord, refining me, calling me out, and leading by example.
This man gets up before anyone should have to in order to study God's Word. He has ever since I've known him.
He loves me unabashedly, and I have no idea why.
He leads our family, not according to his own wishes, but with a heart that seeks the Lord.
He does what he says he will do. His word is for real.
My husband is brilliant.
He's the best Dad in the world, and SO FUN!
9 years ago, he chose me. That still baffles me, but he did.
He has made me so much better! You really do become like your spouse after you've been married a while, and I got the better end of that deal.
Just like my relationship with the Lord, I don't deserve this man.
My heart overflows with gratitude!!!
Happy engagement anniversary Honey!

Congradulations!! I am so thankful for the wonderful example you set for your kids and those of us who are lucky enough to get to learn from you. Being around you and your family, Jenn, is such a blessing!

Thanks girls!
My husband's so sweet...he came home with a dozen white roses for me. I didn't know if he remembered, but after all, I had it marked on the calendar.
He left me a white rose the morning after our first date, and he proposed with white roses.
I love him!

Congratulations!!!!!! You're a continual witness to us all of a good and faithful God who uses your marriage to teach us about Christ and His love for the church. And now a lot of little children get to grow up watching that and emulating that. Wow.

Congratulations...I hope all women feel like that about their husbands! What a blessing you get to communicate that to all those young college girls!

Rusty is the perfect picture of God's answer to a mohter's fervent prayer. I encourage all of you to pray fervently (from the day your children are born) for the mate that God has called out for them. What an incredible blessing to see God do such awesome things in your kids lives. God is truly faithful and amazing!
