Wal-Mart or cancel Christmas?

I just came to a sad realization.
I need to go to Wal-Mart.
I can usually make due when this need arises, avoiding it at all costs.
But today is Christmas Eve's Eve, and I need some key Christmas ingredients.
like
sugar
wrapping paper
medicine
So I am weighing my options.
I have five kids in the house. (I like to pick up extras, as long as they're Feldmans.) They're running around the house in last year's Christmas p.j.s that are too short at the bottom, having fun. But,
I can't make pumpkin bread.
I can't make Christmas candy.
I can't wrap a single gift.
I can't make that horrible thing on Emma's scalp go away.
Her head could rot off.
And yet...I'm not sure which is worse.
Taking all my kids to this dreaded place with small baskets and dirty floors that my kids will undoubtedly crawl on when I'm not looking and skinny aisles and...
I want to stay home.
I'll give you a million dollars to go to Wal-Mart for me.

good luck with that--i went last night, all by my lonesome to exchange a gift and get some needed items. I got home and said "valerie, don't ever let me go in there again!"

Merry Christmas!

Go to the .99 store it has all of that stuff and no people. I went on Sunday after chruch and had a hard time making my way throught the isles. Or go to the CS Wal-Mart tommorow morning arriving before 8 am and it will be empty. Good luck...Wayne still has to pick up our leg of lamb from Kroger ...poor boy!

BTW
Sugar is one of those things to consider keeping an extra bag and when you are out of bag one buy more so you always have extra.

Really, what you should do is drive all of the way to Brenham and go to our Walmart. Its totally awesome!

I went yesterday evening and made it out with a smile on my face and my two kiddos smiling. Our Walmart in Brenham has slowly changed my heart towards this evil empire. We still don't go very often, but when we have to, its not all that bad here.

Good luck!

I find this strange-- perhaps it's because up north most of our WalMarts are newer buildings and I don't have any problems navigating them whatsoever. I'm there at least once a week.

I'll have to take a field trip some time and come visit yours.
